Support
By now, documenting what I see, experience, and think has become a fixed part of my travels. It started in New Zealand in 2024 and has continued ever since. The format has changed along the way. Back then it was short videos with voice-over. Now it’s mainly a written travel diary with photos and short video clips.
The travel diary is first and foremost a reflection tool for myself. It helps me gather the experiences and put them into words while they’re still fresh. That family, friends, and by now also many others read along is something that’s come along the way. Since I write it anyway, others might as well enjoy it too.
Several people have asked if they could support what I do. So I’ve set up a page on 10er.
I’m not dependent on the support, but if you think what I write is worth following, you’re very welcome to. Whether it amounts to a cup of coffee or just a small pat on the back matters less, really. For me it’s at least as much about knowing that there’s someone out there who thinks it’s worth reading.
How does it work?
On 10er you choose for yourself how much you want to support with.
An amount is only charged when I post a weekly roundup. That means at most once a week.
5 or 10 kroner is perfectly fine. Ideally it should be an amount you don’t think much about. Together with many others it can still make a difference. And 10 kroner goes surprisingly far in Southeast Asia, after all.
What does it change?
Not much.
The travel diary remains free. New posts will still be shared on Facebook, and the email notifications will continue as before.
I have no plans to build a big travel brand or fill the site with ads, sponsors, or affiliate links. I want to keep it simple and write when I have something I think is worth telling.
The most important thing
The travel diary is first and foremost a reflection tool for myself.
That mustn’t change.
I want to make sure money doesn’t become a reason to write more dramatically, more emotionally, or more spectacularly than what I actually experience.
If someone chooses to support, I see it as a pat on the back. Not as a livelihood.
Thanks for reading along.
And thanks to those of you who comment, send a message, or share a post. That’s at least as big a part of the reason I keep writing.
